In the wake of Season 3 of The Daily American podcast, I found myself at a pivotal moment in early 2024. As I navigated the complexities of work and personal life, including the recent anniversary of my father’s passing, I reflected on my upbringing in a small town outside of Philadelphia. Raised in a challenging family environment, I faced adversity from a young age, shaped by my father’s troubled past and the abuse I endured. Despite these hardships, I persevered, driven by a determination to overcome obstacles.

Now, as I confront the present, I find myself grappling with addiction and the consequences it has had on my life. Despite professional success, including significant contributions to my company’s growth, I recently faced termination after eight years of service. But this setback is not the end of my story. With a child on the way and a renewed determination to confront my demons, I embark on a journey to reclaim control of my life and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
